Alexander Miranda 2001: A Space Odyssey

I am currently working on my MFA degree at Academy of Art University here in San Francisco and these two posters were created for a class early last year. In both instances I wanted to create a poster that visually represented the design style of both movies; a very minimal and calculated composition with an element of darkness. As a designer, the two films Clockwork Orange & 2001: A Space Odyssey have had a tremendous visual influence on my work. Both films have such a unique aesthetic style from the architecture & its interiors to the composition of the shots, they are designed beautifully and I thank Mr. Kubrick for having made such a rich contribution to the world of Film, Art & Design.
