Remarques

Marques : "Model CP200 Dolby Laboratories Inc. Dolby Stereo"

"The CP200 plays all current analogue 35 mm optical and 70 mm magnetic formats, including Dolby Stereo 70 mm with stereo Surround. With the addition of the DA10 digital decoder unit it will also play the digital optical track on Dolby Stereo SR D prints. The CP200 may be used with up to four projectors (magnetic and/or optical) with accompanying Cat. n° 204 remote stations, and is the preferred processor for flagship theatres" (Dolby Cinema Products, London, Dolby, 1991).

"The Model CP200 is Dolby Laboratories' most comprehensive sound processor. It is intended for larger theatres equipped to show a variety of both 70 mm and 35 mm formats with both magnetic and optical sound-tracks. In its basic form, the CP200 is capable of controlling two projectors in combination with any of today's sound formats, including 35 mm Dolby Stereo optical and 70 mm Dolby Stereo six-track magnetic. With available options, it can control up to four projectors, and also handle such special formats as 70 mm Dolby Stereo magnetic with stereo surround. The CP200 has been designed to accommodate any likely future developpements as well. In addition to flexibility, the CP200 offers unmatched ease of operation. The projectionnist need to concern himself with assembling a sound-processing chain piecemeal for a particular format ; in fact, he need not be aware of the details of the format at all. Instead of laboriously selecting the various sound processing elements required for the format, he merely selects it, and as many as three others for a particular show, from the CP200' electronic memory using a simple two-digit code. During the show, the desired projector and sound format elements are linked together automatically at each changeover, literally at the push of one button. [...] The basic CP 200 consists of three 19-inch rack-mounting chassis : a Control Unit, a Processor Unit, and a power supply. An Accessory Unit, matching the Processor Unit in size and appearance, is available to hold additional processing modules are required. All operating controls, except for the power supply's on/off switch, are located on the Control Unit ; the other units require no attention from the projectionist" (Dolby Cinema Products, San Francisco, London, Dolby, 1991).
