"All H.C.C. Cine Cameras take standard 30 ft. films of 9,5 mm width. Panchromatic films may be used when conditions demand an extra speedy film, or when it is desired to obtain correct colour contrasts, in which case filters should be used. Your dealer will supply the film in a standard charger. Do not attempt to open this, but notice that down one side is a loop of film. Pull out only sufficient of this loop from the top of the charger to pass over the rollers. [...] Using the Campro as a projector. Before projecting your films attention should be given to the following points : 1. See that the film is loose in its spool. New films should be unwound and rewound by hand before projecting, as as often they are too tightly wound. 2. See that the electrical contacts are clean and sound. 3. The camera must not be connected direct to the mains, but used either with a battery, accumulator, or transformer. If a battery or accumulator is used, see that it is reading 6 volts with the lamp burning. If a transformer is used, see that you have followed the instructions as to correct input voltage sent out with this instrument. 4. A two pin connector plug is provided to connect with the electric supply. Two sockets will be found at the back of the camera to accomodate the pins on this plug. 5. Stand the camera 6 to 8 ft. from the screen and connect the terminals to the electric supply. If the screen is not evenly illuminated ease the screw on the lamp holder and adjust the lamp backwards or forwards until the best position is found when the screen is evenly illuminated. At this position relock the screw on the lamp holder. 6. Set the aperture at F. 1.9. 7. Place the empty take-up spool on the take-up drive" (How to use the "Campro" combined Cine Camera Projector for 9,5 mm safety film, London, Home Cine Cameras Ltd., s.d.).
