Au revers du couvercle, mode d'emploi collé : "Directions for setting up and operating the Edison Kinetoscope". Etiquette en papier, arrachée, de la "Continental Commerce Company, London, England". Phonographe n° 1669 marqué "For use only in connection with the Edison Kinetoscope". Moteur électrique marqué "Manufactured by Edison MFG. Co. Orange N.J. USA" et "Trade Thomas A. Edison Mark".

Exemplaire n° 69 très précieux, transformé en "Kinetophone" (Kinetoscope avec phonographe) au cours de l'année 1895. Cet appareil vient de la première série fabriquée des kinetoscopes, sans le système monétaire. On connaît actuellement trois exemplaires (plus ou moins complet) du kinetophone : dans une collection privée de Sydney (Australie), au Science Museum de Londres, et celui de la Cinémathèque. Les kinetoscopes sont un peu plus nombreux : au moins six exemplaires aux Etats-Unis (George Eastman House, Rochester ; Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences Library, Los Angeles ; American Society of Cinematographers, Hollywood ; Henry Ford Museum, Dearborn ; et chez des collectionneurs privés). Il en existe aussi un exemplaire au Science Museum de Londres, au Technisches Museum de Helsingor au Danemark, à l'Institut Lumière de Lyon ; celui du CNAM est une contrefaçon réalisée par l'Anglais Robert William Paul en 1895.

Collection Will Day. "113. One Edison's Kinetoscope. This is the original Kinetoscope brought to England in 1893 and shown at their offices in Old Broad Street, London, by Trajidis and Georgiades.
