Marque : "Sceam System Manufactured by Camera Housing Unlimited San Diego California".
"The Betamax Housing was designed specifically for the Sony BVW-1 Betacam camera. It was the first portable platform for TV video acquisition. It was released in 1981. Shortly thereafter, Gates designed and manufactured the Betacam housing. The methods were quite crude by today's standards. Sketches were on sheets of paper, and the milling machines 100% manual. Manufacture of the Betcam housing was the work of a craftsman (and founder) Elwyn Gates. Through the 1980's, the Betacam Housing was adapted for several different Sony Betacam cameras. The Betacam Housing garnered an Emmy award for Elwyn Gates. It was for a TV episode Spirit of Adventure : Beneath the Sea, the Galapagos. The year was 1987. The Betacam Housing helped Elwyn develop other housings through the 1990's as technology allowed cameras to become smaller and more powerful. Gates biggest growth as a company was during the time" (John Ellebrock, email du 11 janvier 2017).
