Remarques

Marque : "Filmo - 141 - A. Bell & Howell Co. Chicago, Illinois. Made in USA".

"The Speed and Precision of a Bren Gun... Magazine Loading Filmo 141. A camera built throughout with the precision of a machine gun... Loading the 141 is as simple and rapid as clipping the magazine to a Bren gun. Just snap open the camera, drop in the loaded magazine, clamp down down the lid and open fire ! Even better : you can cease fire in mid-reel, slip out the magazine and drop in another (perhaps colour, or super-sensitive, for dark interiors) without fogging a single frame ! Filmo 141 is the sleekest of 16 mm cameras. Interchangeable lenses, new positive viewfinder that ensures that what you see in the viewfinder you get. No more and less. Single-frame exposure device, starting button lock, film footage indicator on magazine is visible both in and out of the camera - built-in exposure calculator - rotary shutter for uniform exposures - aluminium allou body gives strenght and gun-like precision. Four models, from £ 35.15.0." (Home Movies & Home Talkies, July 1939, p. 55 ).

"Filmo 141 16 mm Camera. For 16 mm films, is aptly described as a pocketful of precision. It is free from bothersome details because it is almost automatic. It has many features which actually prevent mistakes. Like the Turret 8, it has positive type viewfinder which shows only the area of picture to be projected, even in the eye strays from the central viewing position. With the increasing popularity of colour, the advantage of changing over in mid-reel from black and white to colour cannot be over emphasised. The f. 2.7 is interchangeable with the full range of special purpose lenses and the four speeds with an alternative choice, will make this camera desired and possessed by many" (Home Movies & Home Talkies, June 1939, p. 17).
