Remarques

[1906], p. 201.
"Lawson's patent saturators. Awarded prize medal and diploma Chicago exhibition, 1893. For single lanterns. Price 50 s. For bi-unial lanterns. Price 90 s.... They are so simple a child can work them." (The Optical Magic Lantern Journal and Photographer Enlarger, vol. 7, n° 80, janvier 1896, p. XXIV).
"Lawson patent saturators. For single and bi-unials lanterns. Have many imitators, but no equals. They were first in the field, and take the lead still. Simple, safe, economical. Giving the brightest form of limelight attainable. Great improvements this season. Nearly 2,000 now in work. Write for particulars of their new 1,000 candle-power bi-unial saturator, new this season. New 1,000 candle power Lawson saturator, £ 24 10 s. Giving a light never yet got by any bi-unial offered". (The Optical Magic Lantern Journal and Photographic Enlarger, vol. 7, n° 88, septembre 1896, p. XIII).
"Lawson Ether Saturator. For lime-light with oxygen, but without coalgas or hydrogen. It gives a light of 500 c.p. and is complete in itself. There is only one tap to operate. It is charged with 4 oz. of methylated ether, which saturates the packing inside. Through this oxygen from a cylinder or generator is passed, and this lights and burns with a pure flame. A slight turn of the handle introduces pure oxygen to the nipple and an intense white light is produced. A 4 oz. charge lasts about 1/2 hours. A larger charge, or a nipple with a smaller bore, with enable the operator to work for two hours or more. This apparatus slides into the lantern just like an oil lamp, and as it gives off very little heat there is no risk of cracking the condenser". (The Wrench Illustrated Catalogue, Londres, s.d., p. 152).
