Camera is driven by a high speed universal electric motor of the governor-controlled type for operation at 16, 24 or 32 frames per second. Shutter is of the 170° rotary type, counter-weighted and dynamically balanced. Camera will operate from any fixed or portable power supply. The magazine is of the latest displacement type, reducing weight and size. It holds 200 feet of film and contains the complete film movement mechanism with the dual pilot registration unit of the Mitchell type. 885 $. L'ASC à Los Angeles possède le model C : "Manufactured in Hollwyood in 1942, the camera was designed specifically for combat, with input from Greg Toland and Harry Cunningham, for John Ford's Camera Unit in WWII. It is a solid looking camera with two grips, a large viewfinder and a shoulder stock for hand-held shots. By flipping open the top you could drop in a pre-loaded 200 ft 35 mm magazine. On the left side there is large, easy-to-change fps lever. On the bottom are metal loops for attaching a shoulder sling, similar to a rifle. The quick-change turret holds four lenses : 35 mm Baltar, 50 mm Astro Berlin, 75 mm Baltar, 152 mm Wollensack. This camera has a cable input plug and no optional winding or cranking methods ; a cameraman would have had to carry the battery power. This particular camera has military ordinance stampings on the body and the magazine" (ASC Newsletter, n° 27, fall 2011, p. 17).
