Marque : "Arriflex 16 BL. Made in Western Germany".
"The camera is the product of a no-compromise design - the kind that combines innovative engineering and old-fashioned durability. All the mechanical elements of the camera are built for heavy duty performance, because long, trouble-free operation is a prerequisite of professionnal work. The working parts are acoustically isolated in the camera body, to keep camera noise down to practical working levels. Among the results of this construction, at least two are of greatest significance to the filmmaker : the 16 BL starts out quiet, and it stays quiet ; and the registration movement produces footage of optical printer accuracy, for superb 16 mm prints and opticals, 35 mm blow-ups and super-8 reductions. It all comes together in a camera outfit that, with 400 ft magazine and specially housed 12-120 mm Angénieux zoom lens, weighs only 7,5 kg [...]. The standard features of the Arriflex 16 BL make for one of the most advanced and capable sound cameras of the times. However, the capability of the camera can be further enhanced by the selection of major options, such as Arri Precision Exposure Control (APEC) which can be built right into the camera view-finder ; crystal-regulated motor and electronics for cordless sync and uninterrupted viewing, that can be combined right into the camera structure ; single system and/or double system sound ; interchangeable magazines up to 1200 ft capacity, etc." (Notice Arriflex 16 BL The Compact lightweight reflex sound camera, München, Arnold & Richter, s.d.).
