The cross curricular questions of Cinéma, cent ans de jeunesse open new perspectives to tackle the scheduled films in the French cinema education workshops (primary schools, secondary schools, high school students and cinema apprentices).
Teachers registered in those workshops will find specific resources on the films as PDF files (list of workshop films based on a cinema question, examples of analyses, bibliography), as well as general resources on each cinema question (stakes, a question/a sequence, films extracts…)

Cinema education initiatives in France, what is it?
Three national, school time, cinema education initiatives have gradually taken root in France.
They are supported by the CNC – Centre national du cinéma et de l’image animée – which relates to the Ministère de la Culture et de la Communication and the Ministère de l’Education nationale in collaboration with local authorities. The three initiatives are: Infants and Primary Schools Cinema [Maternelle, École au cinéma]; Middle Schools Cinema [Collèges au cinéma] ; Secondary students and apprentices of cinema [Lycéens et apprentis au cinéma].
These initiatives come to in to contact with participants from 3 to 18 years of age.
These initiatives allow students to discover cinematic works in school time, thanks to special screened films in partner cinemas.
Targeted educational support work around these screenings, lead by teachers and cultural partners allows the students to form a solid grounding in cinema and cinematographic culture.
These three initiatives are non compulsory, and open to teachers and head teachers who are interested in taking part.
Teachers who sign up to the projects receive specific training and dedicated teaching support materials such as teaching support portfolios and access to resource websites.
